What is Orthotics?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An orthosis is the general name of ancillary devices attached to the body in order to increase the performance of the limbs that have partially or totally lost function and make them more usable. For example, a person with hemiplegia is used to provide contractile muscles in paralyzed areas to work.<\/p>\n

What is Prosthesis?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prosthesis is the general name of devices made to mimic missing body parts. Injuries, tumor surgeries and similar organ damage are removed to protect the health of the rest of the body after the injury. Prostheses that mimic the function and shape of this organ are attached to the remaining body cavity using materials.<\/p>\n
